shooting star shower

It's late evening when it happens.

The sun has just set, but it feels darker still, like the dead of night - but not frightful. No, the night is full of anticipation; as if something is about to begin.

One minute there's silence, and the next, the Havens begin to reform. The flower field and its grove that has sustained you is the epicentre of things, but beyond it, the Havens fill themselves in like a potrait, colours filled in out to the horizon. What has taken weeks to prepare for takes minutes to finish as every place, every landmark, is restored to what it once was - and that's how you find yourself with the Summerfields at your feet, and the tranquil sight of Seahaven in the distance.

But the night is not yet done. The sky lights up as something passes overhead, and another, and another. It could be fireworks, but it's not. It could be a shooting star... but so many, lighting up the sky all over the Havens? Many land in the Seahaven harbour's shallows, but many more land elsewhere.

When Nina reaches Seahaven herself, rather than go directly to the house, she begins wandering the streets to help fill in what gaps still remain in her memory. That particular plan, however, grinds to an immediate halt when she spots a familiar face not too far from herself. The lack of entourage doesn't go unnoticed, but she remembers them; they're all a smart bunch and don't need any real supervision. Unless they're feeling particularly hungry or needy, anyway.

Without so much as a single thought put into it, she turns and takes the most direct route possible to approach.

The growing chill to the air is likely what gives away her presence.

Especially since Terra took pains to ensure that the surrounding weather would be forever mild, yes, the chill certainly gets her attention. She stares for a moment, not surprised but still savoring the sight of one thought lost to her. With a growing smile, she finally steps forward for a hug, chill or no chill.

"Welcome home, Imila. I'm so glad you're here again."
